While not necessary, it is helpful to have already
selected the bridesmaids' dress color(s) before you
meet. Even better, bring along any pictures of flowers,
bouquets, arrangements, etc., from books, magazines
or the internet. She will prompt you for three things:
- Colors (most important)
- Styles
- Actual types of flowers (least important)
You do not have to know anything about flowers for
the consultation. She will be happy to help you out
here. In fact, her "niche" tends to be brides with no
idea what they want. She will work with you to select
your colors, style, and ultimately, flowers for your
wedding.
Generally speaking, Barbara holds consultations at
the following locations:
- Alexandria on Monday evenings.
- Manassas on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
- At her farm in Delaplane, Virginia on weekends (when
she doesn't have a wedding).
