Pricing philosophy

The industry standard pricing for florists is typically 3 to 5 times the wholesale price per stem. We price differently at Growing Wild. Our prices are standard, regardless of the types of flowers you choose (though a few flowers such as calla lilies are so expensive we do have a small surcharge). We use a sizeable portion your total budget to shop for your wholesale flowers and hard goods. While we will use any flowers that you want, we do ask for some flexibility here should the flowers not be available or colors don't work.

We are able to provide high-end flowers at reasonable prices due to our low overhead. Because the design team works out of a studio located on Barbara Von Elm's farm, we do not have to incur the high costs associated with supporting a retail shop. Moreover, we primarily gain our customers through word-of-mouth thereby reducing the high cost of marketing. Finally, whenever possible, Barbara augments flowers bought from the wholesaler with flowers from her garden.

*** Please note that effective June, 2006 we are initiating a minimum of $1,600 for weddings during "high season" (April through October) and $1,200 for weddings during "off season" (November through March). ***
